I recently found out about your volunteering for the Bethel Board of Education and am very pleased that you managed to find time in your schedule to accommodate this wonderful effort.

Having employed you as my real estate broker three times in the past 18 years – as well as knowing you through Democracy for America – I know that you are bringing a combination of progressive concern for Bethel’s children and fiscal responsibility to this task. This has been a particularly difficult year to become a part of the Bethel Board of Education – with the contentious budget battle and the infamous walk-out during one of the Board of Finance meetings. I know that you were not on the Board at that juncture, but I also know that you have spoken highly of all the other members of the Board – both those representing the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. I believe this speaks directly to your having the best interests of the town’s children and taxpayers at heart. I wish I owned another property for every time you’ve reminded me that we need to be Bethelites and Americans first and party members second.

Well, again – thank you for all that you’ve done for me personally over the years – as a friend, as a real estate representative, and now as a fine town representative.
